My wife’s BFF since 13, found out she had breast cancer on her 60th birthday in 2021, it was metastasized, and stage 4.
She was only 4 weeks overdue for her scheduled mammogram.

In 2022, they discovered a brain tumor that was breast cancer. It was removed surgically, with no physical damage to her brain.
The only real effect is she’s lost her sense of time

She’s in remission and cancer is what will eventually kill her.
She goes in for checks and treatment every 6 weeks.

She plays ‘The Cancer Card’ on my wife all of the time.

She wanted to ride Jetskis around Key West.

My wife is not a big fan of swimming or the water.
Then I made a major mistake,
I let her read the disclaimer:
“Care must be taken when falling to the rear of the craft, the water exiting the ‘Jet’ could damage your anus or vagina causing death.”

“Oh hell no!”
“I’m dying, I have cancer, I want to do it, and I want you to do it with me.”
“Dammit!”

So we rented two jetskis from ‘Barefoot Billie’s’, and went on a jet ski ‘tour’.
My buddy Bob, and his wife the BFF on one. My darling Bride and I on another.

Before we left for the tour, which was on the open ocean around Key West. I was mostly deaf in my left ear. Now I am mostly deaf in my right ear because my wife screamed 90% of the ride.
The tour left us behind, anytime I ‘got to speed’, my wife lost her mind, screaming.
In the ocean, there are waves and swells. You have to stand and use your legs as shock absorbers when the jet ski hits them.
So we putted along barely moving.
We did make it out to the area where everyone was. They were zipping around having a grand time. We sat still and watched.
Whenever Bob and the BFF got near us, my wife gave her shit.

When it was time to go back, we were of course the last ones back. I had to putt around until the beach was clear to ‘beach’ the
Jet ski. Because I was going slow, we were swamped by a wave and my wife fell off, dragging me with her. The water was chest deep.
My wife walked out of the water, as I got back on and rode the Jet Ski in.

There was a lively conversation afterwards.
The BFF is more judicious using ‘The Cancer Card’.😂😂😂😂🤣🤣
