What started out as a Frat-House style excuse to drink with my roommate from Ontario, turned into an reason for me and my Quebec born grandmother to make traditional Canadian folk-dishes
(Been to Kamloops BC once but the cuisine and a little bit of the particulars Quebec’s Catholicism is the really only stake to my Canadian heritage)

Plus, it’s the Montreal Allouettes vs the Saskatchewan Roughriders. So food wise, it’s the best match up you could have.

Had pierogies to represent Saskatchewan and had Certon (a French-Canadian spiced ground pork spread to put on Crackers….my dad won’t touch it) to represent Montreal. (Neither pictured)

Really is one of the one of the few days of the year I really do put some effort into cooking
